I have a complicated relationship with my childhood. it was challenging being in a 3 room house with 7 kids. my parents at the time weren’t something you could consider to be loving. I have learned to appreciate the presence of a full fridge, because being on food stamps was hard. there’s something overwhelming about seeing something so important empty.
even though a lot of bad things happened, I always think about that house. it’s been a long time since i’ve truly been home.
im sorry that all that happened, and im proud of you for surviving and i hope everything gets better, because that’s what you deserve. i really love how truthful you are in each post, i really enjoy reading them 🙂
